Museo Naval de Ferrol
Naval museum showcasing ship models, maritime history, and Ferrol's centuries-old shipbuilding heritage. Ferrol has been Spain's leading naval shipbuilding centre since the 18th century, when it was made capital of the Maritime Department of the North under Ferdinand VI and Charles III.
The Naval Museum occupies the former San Campio prison (18th century) and gathers over 2,600 items: its anchor collection is considered the best in the world, with around a hundred types. It also keeps remains of the frigate Magdalena and a model of the training ship Galatea.
