How the basic services work

Water & sewage

Drinking water and the sewer network are run by your council; wastewater goes to a treatment plant (EDAR) before returning to the sea, overseen by Augas de Galicia. For connections, faults or bills, contact your town hall.

Waste

Collection is municipal; waste goes to Sogama for treatment. Each council has a recycling point for bulky items, oil, batteries, etc.
