Pontedeume
A coastal municipality in the Eume comarca. Known for Torreón dos Andrade.
A medieval town at the gateway to the Fragas do Eume, shaped by the Andrade lineage: its tower-house, the Nogueirosa castle and the long bridge over the river Eume. With arcaded streets and a seafaring feel, it celebrates the Assumption on 15 August. It was founded as a town by royal charter of Alfonso X in 1270, to settle the crossing of the «Ponte do Eume».
