The medieval tower in the centre of Pontedeume, last remnant of the Andrade palace. Given to Fernán Pérez de Andrade by Henry II of Castile in 1371, today it houses the tourist office and an interpretation centre on the Andrade lordship.
In the heart of Pontedeume stands the tower keep, all that remains of the Andrade palace. It was built by Fernán Pérez de Andrade «o Boo», the great 14th-century lord who dominated these lands and also raised the Nogueirosa castle and the monumental medieval bridge over the Eume. Before the Andrade, the Eume was held by the powerful Fróilaz-Traba lineage: its head, Count Pedro Fróilaz, was tutor to the future emperor Alfonso VII. Today the keep houses the tourist office and an interpretation centre on the town's history.

Entry: Free. It houses the tourist office and the Andrade Interpretation Centre.
Hours: Roughly 11:30–14:00 and 16:30–20:00 (in summer, 11:00–14:00 and 16:00–20:30). Open all year except 25 December and 1 January.
