An inland municipality in the Ortegal comarca. Known for Festas de San Xoán de Os Casás.
A rural inland council between Ferrolterra and Ortegal. Its great treasure is the Fraga de Os Casás, one of the last virgin Atlantic forests between the Fragas do Eume and the banks of the Sor, beside the Mera river. Riverside paths among watermills and waterfalls invite a walk. It celebrates San Xoán de Os Casás in June.
