An inland municipality in the Ferrol comarca. Known for Festas do Apóstolo Santiago.
A rural inland council of hills, livestock and ridgetop wind turbines, on the edge of Ortigueira and As Pontes. It hides watery corners such as the Fervenza do Coto waterfall and riverside recreation areas on the Mera, with old watermills. It celebrates its patron, St James (Santiago), in late July with big-orchestra dances.
