Porto de Bares

📍 Mañón

The ancient harbour at the northernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula, sheltered by a long stone breakwater of ancient, possibly pre-Roman origin. A whitewashed fishing village beneath the Estaca de Bares.

The port of Bares, sheltered by the cyclopean Coído breakwater, is one of the oldest on the coast. With the seaside village of O Barqueiro, it forms one of the prettiest spots in the north.
