Hiking in Ferrolterra: the great routes

From the Eume woodlands to the northern cliffs. A mental map of the classic routes, with links to official information and tracks.

Fragas do Eume

The comarca's hiking heart. The path beside the Eume river leads to the Caaveiro monastery through oak woods; several itineraries start at the interpretation centre. Check access times in high season.

Belelle river path (Neda)

A riverside walk to the Belelle waterfall, one of Galicia's most beautiful cascades.

Costa Ártabra and San Andrés de Teixido

Coastal paths among cliffs with immense views; the route to the San Andrés sanctuary is among the most emblematic.

The English Way

The comarca is the start of the Camino Inglés to Santiago from Ferrol — it has its own guide.
